Peters Township is a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, located in Washington County. It’s the largest municipality in the county with approximately 22, 000 people. We love our community, but it’s a bastion of Republicans, who have controlled the local Council and School Board for decades.
We aim to change that and we are. We’ve had several election successes in recent years and look forward to working with Democratic candidates in the future to turn Peters blue.
The Peters Township Democratic Committee is a sub-committee of the Washington County Democratic Committee. Informally called Peters Township Democrats or PT Dems, the group is open to all registered Democrats in Peters Township. Get involved by becoming a committee member — several spots are currently open — or by volunteering in some other way or by donating to our efforts.
How Can I Get Involved?
The first thing to do is to get on our mailing list so you will know what’s going on with our group. Send an e-mail to info@peterstownshipdemocrats.com and ask to be added. Second, attend a county committee meeting. Get to know us and hear about the projects we’re working on. Third, let us know what you’re interested in doing and how you’d like to contribute.
Donate
Monetary donations are always welcome and help us pay for mailings, literature, ads, event venues, etc. We need money to meet our goals of increasing the visibility of Democrats in the township and getting more Democrats elected to office.
